When people think of heaven, they think of a place above the clouds in which Angels roam around. Thats not where Susie Salmon went to when she got murdered on December 1973. On her way home from school she was lowered into a trap where her neighbor kills her, but when she dies, she doesn't see a bright light, what she sees is her OWN personal heaven, a heaven for non-natural deaths. She is so happy, but isn't happy enough, because she knows that her father is looking to put a stop to her murderer, but cannot find him.
